You asked and we are telling...

We have provided some answers to often asked questions. Hopefully the following will answer some of yours. If not feel free to submit your questions below.
  1. What is microblading?
Semi- Permanent form of tattooing of hair- like stroke to simulate a natural brow that is custom to your face shape, hair color, and skin tone. After your initial procedure you will need to come back in about 4-6 weeks for your touch- up. You should not need another touch-up for 6 months to a year to liven up the color if that is what you desire. Depending on the person and how their skin functions with the ink. Brows can usually last anywhere between 1 to 2 years.
  2. What type of wax do you use?
We use a low- heat hard wax only. It is great for sensitive skin. We use a pre cleanse and Jasmine oil and sometimes apply non talc powder and post hair removal we apply an ingrown hair preventative lotion.
  3. How long post microblading treatment can I workout?
Post treatment we advise our clients to not do any strenuous activity for at least the first week, week and a half. Do NOT be under direct running water. Don't work out for the first week. The salt in our sweat can possibly lose pigment deposited to your beautiful new set of brows. Try not to use anything on them for the first few days, during the flaky/peeling phase use a water based lotion to keep them moisturized. DO NOT USE OIL.
  4. What should I do before my wax?
24 to 48 hours prior to your appointment you should exfoliate. DO NOT shave. DO NOT USE RETINOL on area being waxed to 4-5 days pre and post appointment. Day of DO NOT work out nor go to the sauna or hot tub. DO keep your body cool. For the bikini area, refrain from tight clothing, lace underwear, or anything that will cause irritation.
  5. How long is the microblading procedure?
The average procedure time is about 2-2 1/2 hours depending on the client and their skin. No more than 3 1/2 hours in my experience.
  6. Who should be wearing SPF?
EVERYONE!!! No one is exempt from the harmful rays of the sun. DO use a SPF 30 or higher with at least 7% or higher of zinc in it. This will keep you protected from the burning rays straight through the aging rays too! Some good ones to check out are ELTA and Supergoop! . I recommend these because they do not leave the white cast on your face once applied.
  7. How long should I wait between Facials?
Each facial is custom to the client/ Patients needs. Typically we recommend 2-3 weeks apart if we are treating more problematic skin and then gradually lengthening the period to 3-4 weeks for maintenance.
  8. How often should I exfoliate?
Exfoliating is definitely a must. Depending on your skin needs it should be anywhere from 1-3 times per week. Dry skin once a week would be fine. more oily or problematic 2-3 times per week. NEVER exceed 3 times per week. Too much of a good thing will bring the complete opposite desired result.
